Researcher and Outreach Coordinator

Jonas Bruun
19ipJonas Bruun is situated with the production companies in Denmark and thus functions as the Danish counterpart to Ben. Jonas comes to the table with a background in anthropology, but over the last couple of years he has shifted to the documentary film business, working with a several major Danish documentary production companies. His background includes work on the dynamics of urbanisation and immigration, on biodynamic farming and communal living, and on gender equality and racism. This wide array of interests reflects Jonas’ way of engaging enthusiastically with the world and all its quirks – and in this spirit he also meets the world of entomophagy. Jonas is in charge of keeping tabs on the worldwide collaborators and contributors to the BUGSfeed site. He is also the 'man on the ground' in Denmark, maintaining the bonds between the production companies and the rest of the BUGSfeed team in Edinburgh. He has worked with outreach and social media on a number of films, such as Good Things Await, Genetic Me and Natural Disorder.
